Recently, Land Rover Has announced a new addition to the Range Rover family, the Range Rover Velar. It’s bigger than the Evoque, but smaller than the Sport, it’s pretty much Goldilocks and the Three Bears all over again. It’s not too small, not too big, it’s just right, sort of.
Land Rover says it will reveal more details of the new footballer-mobile on the 1st of March 2017, right before it’s Geneva motor show debut.
Land Rover states “Elegant simplicity, a visually reductive approach, and pioneering consumer technology are the hallmarks of the Range Rover Velar,” which basically describes nearly all Land Rovers today. The new Velar also uses unique sustainable materials and advanced engineering to go “Above and Beyond” it’s rival, the Porsche Macan.
Land Rover Explains that the Velar can be traced to the first prototypes of the original Range Rover which lead the luxury SUV segment. The development engineers for Land Rover chose the name Velar to protect the identity of the pre-production Range Rovers because the name Velar simply meant to veil or cover up, which was pretty smart of them.
The Chief Design Officer of Land Rover, Gerry McGovern said, “We call the Velar the avant garde Range Rover. It brings a new dimension of glamour, modernity and elegance to the brand. The Range Rover Velar changes everything,” and it indeed does.
So that was the new Land Rover Range Rover Velar, the newest addition to the Range Rover family. Do you think it will be a success to people like you, me, David Beckham, Victoria Beckham, Cher, and Jeremy Clarkson? Or do you think that it will be another useless car in the world?
