There are a lot of people out there who don’t think for a second about what they’ll do if they end up stuck at the side of the road in the middle of nowhere. They don’t want to think about it. But you should. These 6 good for value items could suddenly become very handy in times of need, and you will most certainly be thankful that you had them.
1) Car charger
Obviously the most important in the list. A small device that plugs into your cigarette lighter, a car charger allows you to charge your phone wherever you are. Although it will probably mostly be used by your children, it could come in handy when you’re stuck on the side of the road.
There’s a simple problem that you just can’t quite remember how to fix? In normal cases you’d Google it, but your phone’s out of charge. Well, simply charge it up a bit and your problem’s solved. And what if it’s really bad and you need to be towed, but you can’t call anyone because your phone is out of charge?
2) Battery charger
There’s nothing more frustrating than a flat battery. And there’s nothing more frustrating than trying to find someone with jump leads. So here’s two of your problems sorted in one!
There are many different types available, from cheap and slightly rubbish ones to much more expensive things that can start your car many, many times. If you need one of those your car perhaps needs some work, so here’s a less expensive one that will still do the job.
3) Dash cam
Ah yes, the dash cam. Whilst mostly famed for those legendary Russian compilation videos on Youtube, a dash cam is still an ideal tool to have if you’re involved in a crash. Unless you caused the crash, in which case it’s just a way of screwing yourself over.
Although they are quite expensive, they are very useful, so it really is a worthwhile investment. Here’s one which works well in low light as well, for added usefulness.
4) Tracker system
It is very unlikely that your car will ever be stolen, but it was also very unlikely that Donald Trump would become President of the United States, and look how that turned out. So if it ever does happen, at least be prepared.
This product is also useful in that you can cut off the fuel supply, which means that your car will only be found burnt out quite close to your house instead of quite far from it.
5) Tow rope
Tow ropes can be very useful indeed. If you are broken down at the side of the road and you’re smart enough not to pay for a man in a van to tow you away 4 weeks after you ring them up, why not call your mate and ask him to come over and help you out?
6) Safety escape tool
If things go really badly, this could save your life.
Accidents happen. If worse comes to worse and you’re alongside a river, a lake, or the Ocean. You might end up, in your car, underwater. Unless you are very quick, you will soon find it nearly impossible to open the doors. It is at this point that a lot of people would realise they’re screwed. But not you.
You can use the torch part to find the seatbelt. You can use the seatbelt cutter to….grow Tomatos. You can break the window with the hammer. And you can use the warning light to try and get help.
